They spent the last few months recording the new album. On their Facebook they said ‘this is just the beginning’.

New song is not bad at all. I'm not gonna get hyped up about a band nearly 20 years removed from greatness but this is a good sign.

Okay, Drone is a lot less mind-tangling than I expected after All It Takes. The future is looking bright.

Slightly disappointed with the new song. Very Karnivool but doesn't have that pull that All It Takes had on first listen.

New song is awesome.

I love it when bands try new things but I’m not gonna lie, it’s so refreshing to hear an “older” band release a new song that can go toe to toe with their best stuff. Sonically it could slot right into Sound Awake which is not something I would’ve expected to see again.

Well, some pretty big news dropped by Kenny in an interview yesterday.

Album is in its final stages - completely recorded and mixed, they’re just finalising everything. They’re aiming for an October release.

Also he said

-Album sounds closest in style to Sound Awake

-No song under 5 minutes. Plus a few 8-9 minute epics.

- “While Kenny didn’t reveal the album title, he did give us a few hints of what the new music will sound like. “There are definitely heavy parts to it. There are some really dirty, dirty bits to it; some very weird stuff, too,” shared the singer. “There’s a song on there called Remote Self Control… It’s weird but it’s wicked, it’s got these really heavy parts and it kicks the gates in as soon as it starts. The frontman also revealed the song ‘Mono-poly’ would be a “sad, dark and weird as hell” track. “Jon [Stockman] does this Moog synth thing at the end, which is the weirdest shit I’ve ever heard.”
