Im finding it a lot more musical, but dense, and very Geogaddi. Exactly what I wanted. And the production is stunning

Hmmm, Idk guys. I'm gonna listen to it a lot more before my review. Initial impressions are that some of these tracks could've had more time in the oven, but the overall package is solid. The flow is a little disjointed, and the album has the least BoC identity of any of their albums (not that that's necessarily a bad thing; I just noticed it sounds distinctly less BoC than their other records).

Deep Time remains my favourite track for the time being, but I really dig Father And Son, even if it's a little goofy, just a catchy as hell track; Memory Death is a great piece of ambient; Prophecy remains a big highlight, despite the fact I've played it to death lol; The Word Becomes Flesh is also superb, really carried by a solid beat and flow, and the female samples are cool, although I'm not sure the warped male vox were necessary.

Definitely gonna have to give this one some time to percolate. Can never go off of first impressions.

Brother, you're telling me to not make rash judgements when you 5'd the album after a single play lol. Dw man, I like this album - I just think it doesn't necessarily have the same connective tissue that other BoC albums have. There are several instances on Inferno of it sounding VERY BoC, I just think there are some tracks that sound noticeably less like them. Naraka is one of them. It's a good track, but if I didn't know this album was coming out and I heard that song in isolation, I'd have never thought "Oh is this a new BoC track?" It's not a massive detractor, just something I noticed, as I've been obsessively listening to their other stuff in anticipation of this.

The Guardian review of the new one is the most Guardian thing ever.

Argues the album is a mix of lazy orientalism and bad critique of eastern religions…but it has one good song where they attack Christian nationalism!

That’s their take!

Damn I feel like Naraka is the most BoC sounding track they've done in a while. When the pads come in at 0:32 it is unmistakably BoC., plus the whole second half with the chanting would easily fit on Geogaddi.

I'm at a 4/5 so far, some elements I really love but to me there is just way too many floaty tracks on the record it loses its steam. Age of Capricorn and Deep Time are fantastic the album didn't need anymore of those kind of tracks like Somewhere Right Now or Memory Death. You Retreat is great I can see the Dayvan Cowboy comparison but it takes too long to get going

All Reason Departs threw me for a loop, with the way it started and built up I was expecting a high tempo Alpha and Omega kind of track which I feel the album sorely lacks
