chucks vocals are top notch and pretty filthy
the guitar riffs and melodies are on par

I was under the impression that Chuck wrote most of the guitar parts, and there was a dual lead type deal going on. I don't really know which guitarist is playing which part, so I can't comment on who is better, but the guitar as a whole on this album is of course incredible and lives up to a ridiculous amount of hype. So, good on Chuck and Koelble.

That's just how it goes though. The vocalist overshadows the rest of the band, this isn't exclusive to just death.
Obviously all band members are just as important as chuck but it makes sense they get mentioned less..
