Never understood the much lower average for this record. It's takes a more dissonant and raw vocal approach in many sections, but I personally enjoy that. The instrumentation is top notch as always. I suppose the guitar work could be criticized for lacking the lift that Rescue and Restore and Constellations have when the band go for their epic crescendos.

I'll take Leveler over R&R any day. R&R is still a really good album but the last 3 tracks are forgettable af. The album might as well end when Beauty in Tragedy does. Leveler rips pretty much all the way through.
