This album's a complete chore to listen to. Its structure is all out of whack, and these techno-pop breakdowns in the middle of every song completely ruin it for me. If there's anything Erase Me and Victim of the New Disease have way over this, it's a consistent structural foundation. It doesn't just change to absolute shite after a minute or so of each song's play.

There’s 0 cringe here for me tbh I just think this is a fun and entertaining album the whole way through. I mean I could see why people’s me hate this of course but I’d rather listen to something that I can have a good time with and bang my head to than something like new Underoath which is just shitty pop radio rock and is actually a chore to listen to.

I can vibe with it without getting completely thrown off by the gayest fucking techno I've ever heard.

Do you even listen to techno to say it’s the “gayest you’ve ever heard?”

Not to mention, Danny's vocals were nowhere near as developed as in later works. He required copious amounts of pitch correction, beyond anything on both the albums you mentioned, his screams sounded airy and weak, and his technique around this time sucked complete shit (hence the vocal cord issue in 2012).

The vox are the best part about this album though and better than both of the albums mentioned above combined so idk.

Ahh.
I'd recommend giving Reckless & Relentless a shot. That's such a massive step up, it's not even funny.

The fact that Deathbat actually used "gayest" as insult is enough for me to never take him seriously.
Also, I Was Once, Possibly, Maybe, Perhaps A Cowboy King is the best AA song.
