Well, later albums are definitely worse, but previous albums on the other hand...

Load and Reload are ok, but you won't like them if you think this is boring.

Load is better than this tbh, more emotion and catchy riffs

Wherever I May Roam, The Unforgiven, and Nothing Else Matters are the top three tracks.

Tbh, it always struck me as the second weakest song on here. It's still good though. The worst and only bad track here imo, is Don't Tread On Me.

Second weakest for me too, only The Unforgiven gives me less. Both ok tracks, not much more. Enter Sandman, Wherever I May Roam and The Struggle Within are top 3.

Yeah Don't Tread on Me is definitely filler. And honestly I would say The Struggle Within is also filler even though it's the last song.

"Of Wolf And Man" comes off as filler.

Agreed. There's actually a lot of filler on this album, but i still enjoy it.

Of Wolf and Man is great. Has a nice riff and dare I say good drumwork from post ..AJFA Lars. The Struggle Within is underrated, agreed. Enter Sandman is good, but I feel it's in the weaker half of the album.

I guess many come off as filler cause of the rather straight-forward approach and the common song structures. Doesn't mean they aren't great, just nothing special from that point of view.

Idk, I've always loved this album, and that's coming from a guy who has discovered Metallica before listening to this album. I'd say is the second best of the Big Four "sellout" albums, second to Anthrax's Sound of White Noise.

Well, I think it's great too, don't get me wrong. Just saying, there's a reason why people are rather debating what's worst on the black album than what's best like it is with all their 80s stuff. It just provides people with more of a target than the earlier albums.

I like it, but it was pretty weak compared to everything they release up until that point. A light 4/5. Youthanasia was much better.

But it's pretty good for being a sellout album, wouldn't you agree? I think it's better than this personally.

Im suprised how much I like countdown tbh because it's megadeth first album to try and become more commercial but I really love it. Its a solid 4.5 for me, as is youthanasia.
