I still listen to Traced in Air more often. The fuzzy, almost unintelligible production on Focus annoys me the longer I listen to it. It's tough to hear the details when it all becomes a blur. It works well for black/death metal, but I think it brings the album down if it's supposed to sound spacey and ethereal.



Maybe I just have a bad album or something, but the remaster didn't sound much different.

yah Cynic were still a part of the death metal scene when they released Focus

so its to be expected that the production is 'bad'
