@NightProwler I'm already familiar with TMV although I definitely wouldn't call Cedric one of my faves, he's still good. I think I'll go with Genesis after Jethro they seem to get a good wrap.

Those are excellent as well, Genesis is prob my fav proggers besides Rush and Floyd. As Jamie said, Thick as a Brick is a great place to start. Took me longer to get into Aqualung.
And yeah, as with Geddy, Cedric's vocals aren't for everyone. I just enjoy the hell out of them!

Fair enough. Rush is another band I've been meaning to jam for ages but haven't got around to, I feel so uncultured compared to you guys :/

Does anyone in here remember Vera Lynn? Remember how she said that we would meet again----some sunny day....

In Roger's The Wall tour last year they were playing videos of soldiers returning home to their families after service, was incredibly powerful. I enjoy the song a lot more since then.

Yeah, me too. I saw it in 2011, it was amazing!
Saw the show again on this tour (½ a month ago); still excellent, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first time

That sucks, why? Was he noticeably exhausted or something?
Couldn't get over how good he sounded (all things considered) when I saw him.
|
| |
Exactly. He sounded notably more tired. Also, the (almost exactly same) show didn't impress me as much on the second impact, but that's natural.

That's disappointing. I can understand how the show wouldn't be as impressive having already seen it, but damn was it emotionally stirring.
I hope he has another massive tour again though, I'd go in a heartbeat.

One of the greatest things in existence. Gilmour's solo >>>
|
| |
It definitely was hard-hitting the first time! I'd love to see him do Animals, WYWH, Dark Side, or something. Perhaps Meddle. Anything Floyd that I haven't seen before, lol

And yeah, Comfortably Numb m/ indeed!

He'd need Dave (and Nick) to do the others though; performing The Wall solo is understandable but the others just wouldn't be the same without the rest of the band.

I'd love to see him do Animals, WYWH, Dark Side, or something.
Can't imagine Waters ever doing WYWH or Dark Side as solo concert (nor would I want to see him try). Those albums were dominated by Gilmour musically. Same goes for Meddle, perhaps to an even greater extent.

Dave has been known to have that effect on people I guess.
