"i think this one deserves the credit with or without nostalgia"

Perhaps you're right & I'm hoping that's the case, there's just no way I (personally) can tell as I'll always feel a certain nostalgic attachment to it.

When I was young, PC meant "police constable"

But nowadays, I can't seem to tell the difference

Nostalgia doesn't factor into this at all for me. Like, I'm in my early 20's and I heard it maybe a year ago, so I just think it's a good ass record.

I bought this album and I was so fucking ecstatic and it wasn't until I got to my car that I found out the CD was for This is My Truth Tell Me Yours and I'm just so fucking upset. I got refunded more than I paid for it but still I'm just so heart broken

Oh man, that's not a good Manics album either, which just rubs salt into the wound.

but still, that's a pretty bizarre mix-up. only thing in their discog further from The Bible woulda been Lifeblood

It wasn't necessarily a mix-up, it was just that it was a used CD and it had this casing where I can't look at the CD and its packaging until I bought it and the cashier removed it. So I was in my car ready to blast Yes only to find out the CD was for This Is My Truth. I just asked a friend who owed me money to just buy me this album so it's a win-win especially since the CD is cheaper than how much he owed

And I also disagree, I quite like This is My Truth

I just don't really dig poppy Manics. This is my Truth is essentially a pop record & not a particularly well written one at that. It's not terrible but nothing really stands out about it for me.

Yeah, it's had quite the impact on my life, so it's an automatic 5. I've explained before how there might be a tinge of nostalgia attached to my rating but it's a damn fine album nonetheless. And other listeners here have been praising it regardless of any potential nostalgic attachment.
