this honestly isn't my least favorite from Metallica. I admire the genuine anger, like you can actually tell these guys are at wits end and are in deep mental anguish while playing the album, which I appreciate. so much anger in music is cockeneyed and faked, especially within nu-metal. like cmon, how angry is limp bizkit actually? probably peaved at most. doesn't stop songs like "shoot me again" and "purify" from being amongst their worst songs tho. trimming the songs down and fixing the production would automatically make this jump up to a 3.5/5 imo

damn that's a take. i like the first half a fair amount tbh, but the second half always makes me wonder wtf they were doing. better than "purify". best stuff on here is "dirty window" and "unnamed feeling" IMO because they're the only ones that sound finished.

The t/t was a good choice of lead single. I was really impressed with the version of it on the st [b]anger redux album that came out a few months ago. Sadly most of the rest of the album doesn't have enough interesting ideas to be redeemable

There was a youtube band that did this back in like 2013-2014, just played it live without the bloat and a good mix and vocals. Lots of the tracks hit harder and didn't overstay their welcome.
