DT are still good, they'll just never top this masterpiece.

I've pretty much lost all hope they'll release another good album. And even if they do, I get the feeling that I've outgrown them too much to appreciate their typical style now.

s/t is their worst album to date. ADTOE is pretty solid, but as i said, I don't think I can get into it because I've outgrown them a lot.

They sound so juvenile and forced now, I just wish they'd be more inspired and natural. Say what you want about FII but I'd rather listen to most of that than most of their 00's stuff at this point

really? If anything it sounds quite natural, albeit cheesy at times like Hollow Years. If it does sound forced, it's definitely less forced than anything SC onwards

FII had just as many good songs as it did bad, but it was just as natural and inspired sounding as I&W and Awake and even this imo

Maybe saying it's as natural as those and this is a bit too much. yeah, it does feel natural but the flow of that album is really limited

I like s/t more than most ppl [2]. Dominici's voice is pretty good, but it was just not that good for prog metal. It still didn't kill the great musicianship on it.

Oye Artuma, FII is good lay off. It feels natural and is much more enjoyable than half of their

albums. It's top 5 DT

I'd think people would be passed shitting on FII. It has some really great songs, but also some shit. Overall though it's way more natural than most of their albums after this

well yeah it's just that their post-oct stuff feels so damn unnatural it's not even funny. would say that fii is "less forced" rather than actually "natural"

it's just insane to compare it to their top 4 tho

I think it's the cheesiness of the bad songs which causes people to hate it to much, even if it doesn't deserve it

Yeah it's much more enjoyable as a result. The band became too obsessed with how every note should be played as opposed to just letting the music find its own voice. I can listen to all the songs on FII and enjoy them, yes even you not me.
