I hadn't jammed to this in a bit. It's hard for me to understand what makes this better than similar records of this genre, even though you can definitely hear it. What is it in your opinion?

I feel the same, if they never released another album I'd understand completely. If they do release another one now and I know it's their last it'd be a pretty damn emotional experience in that first listen.

there needs to be at least one more brand new album; jesse seems to be keen on making that happen, if only to give the band a good goodbye. they're just too great of a band to leave off on more than 6 years of waiting for a new record.

Backing up, I don't get the love for American Football. How much twinkle do they have to rely on before they bore one to tears? I knew what every song on the album was going to sound like after the second song on their self-titled.
