"I'd love to have another album by Deftones, but I wonder where would they go next from here?"
Gore 2

Just let Terry remaster the original. I like Gore a lot but goddamn imagine if it sounded like Ohms.

Last two albums have been unadulterated heat.

I love Deftones but this album grew off of me really fast. The songs sounds so samey except a few cuts

I don't think anyone can save Gore from itself. Not even Terry.

Gore gets a lot of hate but even though it is probably their weakest album, it is by no means bad.

I listened to Gore a lot more than Ohms tbh, I like the sudden switches from dreamy, shoegazey stuff to brutal Chino mode. The production could have been a bit better on some songs, but it has a certain charm for those songs.

Taken me three months to realise that Infinite Source is an absolute banger

It's a good Deftones album but I don't get the overwhelming praise

It is the production that makes this sound flat and samey to me but i can imagine many songs on this absolutely go hard live

Consistency is king. I personally find each song on the album to be unique enough from one another while being a beginning-to-end banger. It's not the best work they've ever done, certainly, but it was the first album since Absolute Elsewhere that stayed in my mind constantly and it one of few albums that compel a full listen rather than looking for specific cuts.

I can see myself 5'ing this over time. They definitely upped their game here - their best since KNY.

This is the only album I’ve listened to from them.

Definitely spend some time looking into the rest of their catalogue - they're one of the greatest bands of all time so I'm sure if you liked this as much as you do, you'll thoroughly enjoy pretty much all their other albums.
