I love moshing but the hardcore dancing shit is whack tbh, that’s how you wind up with mfs in urgent care. I’m fine with getting bruised up but my health insurance isn’t good enough to get more stitches

it's crazy how comfortable girls are just doing that stuff in the middle of the pit. I think it's crazy. I know it's part of the culture. It's massively gay as fuck. Mosh like a normal person. We're not roundhouse-kicking and 360 no scoping

My first exposure to moshing was hardcore dancing at an Underoath show in 07 (also my first show). Until I started seeing big metal bands I always thought it was the standard and still is my preferred way of moshing. I'm not out there starting fights however but I do like the slight danger of it lol. I always considered myself more of a "hardcore kid" than metalhead all of my life though

I like the slight danger too. But hardcore dancing takes it TOO far. Every time I've encountered it. Just always bad experiences or seeing other people getting fucked up. And then their blood is on me? Fuck that

Slipknot/Acacia is pretty crazy
My bad, was talking about Knocked Loose, but I see why you thought I meant Acacia.

holy SHIT guys if you like this band just GO SEE THEM LIVE
Setlist was (almost) immaculate:
Blinding Faith
Don't Reach for Me
Mistakes Like Fractures
Oblivion's Peak
Belleville
Piece by Piece
Moss Covers All
Take Me Home
Hive Mind
God Knows
Suffocate
Billy No Mates
Counting Worms
Deep in the Willow
Everything Is Quiet Now
So no Holler anymore on the setlist but fucking Oblivions Peak, shit was HYPE, no voice left after that.
And they guys are beasts on stage, show is directly entering my top 3 gig of all time.

Fuck yes! Just snagged a pre-sale ticket to their Oct show in LA. Says The Shrine outdoor. Not sure what the fuck that’s about, the shrine is right by USC campus. General admission, a huge floor and a pretty cool place with good atmosphere. Only show I’ve seen there was brand new last summer, but it was solid. Just never heard of them having outdoor shows there.
Saw these guys when they opened for slipknot but been dying to catch a headlining show.
And fucking Mastodon, Deafheaven and Alcest on Oct 10th?! Fuck yeah. Seen mastodon prob 8 times but never seen (and have been wanting to see) Deafheaven for a couple of minutes.
Definitely curious and cautiously optimistic about the new mastodon album since it’s without Brent. Brent and brann have always been my favorites, and Brent’s vox by far my favorite, and basically synonymous with Mastodon’s sound for me. We shall see.
And I guess we might be getting new knocked loose later this year! Assumingly…

I know this is a knocked loose and mastodon post, just didn’t feel like making two separate ones lol. Irony being that I’m creating a second post EXPLAINING why I didn’t create a second post
lol. Menstodon.

Push pits are for cowards and hxc dancing is way better for getting the lead out imo, and any old head with the slightest knowledge of pit etiquette knows to harmlessly swing their arms around first to make space.
I've seen more people get trampled or fucked up in a push pit than people get actually injured getting in the crossfire of a hardcore dancer unless its angry people beefing. You make space/take turns and fight invisible ninjas. Push pits get people knocked onto the ground. At least run in a circle.
And if you don't get out the way of the wall of death before it hits, that's on you js
