I kinda like "doin time" from this album

I like "video games" and especially "off to the races" from born to die (but don't like the other singles)

I really like "shades of cool" and "west coast" from ultraviolence

I don't like "high by the beach" or "love" but don't know anything else from the two albums after UV

and then I don't like any of the songs on this album except for "doin time". mayyybe the first song

thats my lana take. but a lot of my friends have been into her since the "video games" days and she's always a good topic of conversation, don't mind her

There's something glitzy, moody, and empty about the album just in arrangement, production, & vocals alone that resonates real hard with my life of yuppie ennui. I think this album got me half depressed last year, and most albums don't really have that effect on me. Funnily enough, I haven't really listened to this carefully / often enough to have a super strong opinion on the songwriting, even though from reviews it seems that the songwriting is aligned with the vibe I got from LDR's vocals and the overall soundscape.

What an album. Can’t say I’ve felt much inclined to listen to anything else by her. But this has several hard classics on it.

i did quite like born to die, even if it was a bit inconsistent. probably will do a full discog run at some point, but i'm not expecting anything as good as this
