Ah, Tindersticks are basically the European version of Lambchop

Honestly I should stop putzing around and just take a week or two and binge all the Lambchop I haven't heard yet.

Is a Woman is getting dangerously close to a 5 and Flotus isn't far behind. I've also got Nixon at a 4.5 now, and Mr. M is a very strong 4 - could probably bump that as well.

Lark, it's not easy to say this but...they're even better than Tindersticks. If you dig Tindersticks they're an essential

Start with Mr. M for Lambchop, Doof used that as the gateway drug for me and it did its job excellently.

Yeah, don't start with 'Damaged', not that it isn't good but it did put me off checking out another of their albums for about six years :/

Tomorrow is the 2nd anniversary of Gav's death. Gonna have to spin this and Beautiful Skeletons. Maybe I'll check the Evangelist album too finally.

I listened to Evangelist earlier on the week for the first time in ages, very different but I've kept it at a 4

I'm a bit wary since it was finished posthumously but it's got Gav so it'll be at least good

Problem with the Evangelist is the vocals are totally different, it's not even a particularly vocal-centric album...but it's as close as Gav got to a more 'rock' album I guess

Just so people know I've requested the band name associated with the Evangelist album be changed from "Evangelist (UK)" to "Gavin Clark and Toydrum" as that seems to be the official attribution that the album is associated with.
