This is bad because they've started taking themselves too seriously

Yeah I guess, I did like Drown and the first tracks alright too tbf but most of the lyrics are laughable (True Friends!) and like you said it's just generally uninspired

If anything I'd call There Is a Hell... the instance of taking themselves too seriously. I'd lean more towards them being uninspired. I think their departure from solely being a metalcore band was the main message they were trying to get across with this one.

Message received. They sucked as a metalcore band anyways.

Nah, they did well until they released this derivative garbage.

They were pretty bad until There is A Hell. Sempiternal was good too. This is a big step down but still good on some levels.

There Is A Hell is...well, okay. It did have some really good melodies but the production the and repetitiveness of the lyrics pretty much ruined it.

I quite liked the production on There Is A blah blah blah I thought it sounded huge but not too clean and overdone so still heavy where it should be. Crucify Me is a great album opener

Crucify Me was ehh, having Oli constantly scream the album title is kinda annoying

Crucify Me is definitely their best song tho

You trippin Toon, production is fucking massive on There's a Hell. And the lyrics are pretty raw, as far as Oli is concerned. My fanboyism for that album is absolute, but even if I come out of that box, the production was really nice on there.
Sempiternal's production was a really high point too. Sounds quite shoddy here though, but I put that down to the band producing it.

Crucify Me sucks
Doomed blows that away

It's not that it's bad, it's just overbearing at times. It felt like just nothing but noise when I'm trying to get into the song's melodies. Sempiternal's production on the other hand felt way more controlled and was the better album as a result.
