I don't care, I love this album so much. I originally had it at 4.5 so I didn't 5 this first.

word. dream house and pecan tree are 5-worthy. title track is really great but not as memorable as those 2. vertigo is interesting but drags on too long. and the interludes don't do much for me, irresistible is pretty tho
i'd probably throw something like a 4.1 on it

title track is probably my favorite actually.
agreed about a 4.1 though

Pretty similar to my sentiments. Although the interludes don't do anything for me.

Only track that doesn't really click is the one interlude "Windows". Vertigo is pretty long but I think it sustains its length well.

dream house is such a perfect realization of this sound. one of my fav songs ever tbqh
blackened psychadelic post-skramzgaze forever

This would be rly rly good if there weren't any interludes besides Irresistible and one or two tracks were removed, i think it was the title track and some other one (i dunno, I don't have this album anymore) that I didn't care for
Even though it would still kinda tiring to me but significantly better

i wish the 2 other interludes were more "songs" and less noisy/ambient godspeed worship. honestly i haven't touched
them since my first couple playthrus. pointless imo

That one interlude with the drill sound was really annoying, I actually skipped the thing out of pure
dislike and I don't recall doing that with pretty much any other album (Except for the ones I just
stop listening to altogether out of dislike)

yeah i think that's windows, really annoying sound agreed

yeah and considering how well the intro to "violet" worked you have to wonder how those interludes came out so mehhhhh. if they can cut the bullshit next time around they have some for srs potential though. still one of my favorite bands even though i'm not head-over-heels for any of their records. they are incredible live though.

I honestly wonder if this would be better received without the intro's and just the long tracks. To me the interludes work well into going into the bigger tracks.
|
| |
maybe. a 4.1 avg, 888 ratings and 8(!) reviews is pretty well-received already though.

i feel they couldve definitely cut one and improved upon the other one. its nice having something in between the long songs, but idk, judah was good without any

Oh I know, I'm just wondering if it'd be like a 4.2 or 4.3 if it didn't have interludes. It doesn't bother me but it's just something I thought about.

This is pretty well received, a lot of people who tend to dislike it are either: 1) not into this sorta thing 2) hate it because it aint "trve bm"
I just don't like it because I mostly find it boring

4.2 could deff be possible (it had that for at least a month or two after release if i recall)

Speaking of the people who hate this because it's not "trve bm" piss me off. Best example is the asshats on last.fm who added the tags for the band. It's like their angry at this band for doing something different and call this hipster stuff. However, that's EXACTLY what they are and Deafheaven are not. Basically they're annoyed this band got a lot of recognition and call it hipster bullshit but that's the exact opposite. Sorry for the rant but that shit pisses me off.
