My chemical romance is emo, Green Day is most certainly not, it's like when people say blink-182 are emo cause they watched the video of I miss you once and Tom had long black hair (when the whole point of the video makeup was they were meant to look dead or ghoulish)

They sort of are but pop punk is usually more happy there's is all depressed lyrics and stuff and like music that you cut yourself to whereas I can't imagine anyone cutting themselves to Sum 41 for example
