It’s good! A lot to absorb. My main reason for delaying it so long was the length and I like to be able to listen to full albums but don’t often have time to fully commit to listening to an hour and a half album, but I realized that since it’s four long pieces I could probably enjoy it in parts as well. I gave it a full go yesterday but imagine that in the future I’ll probably only listen to one or two of the tracks at a time - my suspicion was confirmed that each piece felt like it could stand well enough on its own.

I did once think this was way too long, now it is very close to absolute perfection. Maybe needs another spin (in full) to confirm. You do need to find the time to fit in though.

I don't know if I'd call this "too long", but to my ears at least, the album's emotional arc ends with "Broken Windows" and the whole fourth movement sort of functions like an epilogue. Not that it's extraneous or detracts from the album necessarily, that's just usually where I really start feeling the album's length and checking the play bar to see how much time is left.

This has been my go-to listen for reading before bed the last two weeks, a track or two a night does the trick. Amazing stuff.
