It’s very close. People are sheep when it comes to ratings. I don’t see how this is inferior, riffs hard, the song-writing is so tight & the little moments of experimentation or ‘progressiveness’ really add to the feel of the record.

I’m not talking about anyone in particular but yes, it’s clear some people struggle to form their own opinions on highly regarded albums.
I love both this & CTAWB, there’s little moments of flair here that surpass CTAWB but the atmosphere & excecition on that record is top notch.

I can be guilty of the sheep mentality too. So when I click on an album to rate, I AVOID looking at the average rating. It is easy to do on RYM since it's such a large page with space between everything.
Very difficult to do on Sputnik though, I will admit.
