Agreed, Mayhem, it would be historical and very interesting to witness. Looks like Fender was the winning brand after all...

In terms of amps, I've used an Axe Fx II for 4 years now. For guitars, I have gone through a lot, and for a while I had up to 8 at the same time, but as I am getting older I am seeing that I really just need/want 2 to 3. So currently, my roster is:

2014 Ibanez RG652 (gonna sell)
2000 Ibanez RG570 (gonna sell)
1996 Parker Fly Deluxe (might sell)
2003 Epiphone Elitist Les Paul (keeping)
1977 Greco SE 500 (Japanese Strat clone) (keeping)
2012 EBMM JPX (might sell)
2018 Aristides 060 (incoming in July)

It is good but not perfect. Some noticeable cons:

- They made the decision to keep the back of the neck glossed, which imo is stupid for a guitar that is meant to play fast shit on.
- The pickup switch can get in the way of your strumming hand because it is so close to the strings
- The fret ends are kinda sharp on the higher frets.

For real, it's one of the worst things you can do on a metal guitar

Oooh nice, I always wanted one of those. Those things are made for one thing only and that is metal.

Haha dude I had an Ormsby and I just sold it a few months ago. It was from their first GTR run.

"no good?"

It was excellent, but I just wasn't playing it much and I think it deserved to be with someone who would love it. Thankfully, that's where it went.

btw, im gonna be swapping out the stock pickups on the new viper im getting. anyone recommend passive humbuckers that would be good for stoner rock/metal. dont want anything too hot. was lookig at Seymour dunc Pearly gates or Saturday night specials... Invaders would be too hot despite how sweet they are

Oooh man I would love a PRS someday. Agreed they are miles ahead of Gibson. Mayhem you should consider their SE line. Even though they're not made in America (which is an overrated feature to begin with), they play just as well and the quality is still there. Plus they cost a fraction.
