Thanks. Might work on it tonight. I want to do some more research first though. Unfortunately a lot of the knowledge I had about this band's early years is hard to find online these days, and my memory being as perforated as it is has started to lose grip on some of the harder-to-find facts. I was thinking it would be good to make like a somewhat informative retrospective on the band through their releases. Maybe if I put an initial review online, people can jump in in the comments with any important info or perspective on the band that I missed and I can try and work it in.

Apparently that's an Underoath song. I haven't heard it and don't really know the relevance though.

I'm pretty sure I said the exact same thing 3 years ago when Damage was coming out, that I would review every album, so maybe don't hold your breath on it but I will try. Some of them would be really difficult to nail down my opinion on though, so it might end up being more of a retrospective than reviews.

You know what maybe I wouldn't mind that, but they would have to be very careful about it if they did give him another song. I feel like the default behaviour is to give him the rock song like Action Needs an Audience. But for a Tom song to work well on an album (I don't think Action worked well at all on the album) I think it would have to be a slow song like Episode IV. Or something else entirely. But turning him into the "throw away rock song" guy is the worst thing they could do with his voice I think. It's just a little too obvious.

action needs an audience was pretty damn bad to begin with and tom's vocals just made it even more generic

Hey I liked Jim's version of Action Needs an Audience. I was excited about that song before the album, until I learnt that Tom would be taking over the vocal duties for it.
