Yeah it definately wouldn't fit their style. Even the 'solo' in Phantom Bride seemed a little bit out of place on a deftones album.



Palms dissapointed me a little because Isis are my favorite band on the planet and deftones are probably top 10 so i had incredibly high expectations. Crosses was solid for what it was.

Man this album is a grower. Might bump. He may not have his best vocal performance as a whole for this album but e kills it on a few tracks. Phantom Bride has one of his best vocal performances ever IMO. The "you waste your life" bits are beautiful. I think the lyrics are fine on that song btw

I don't get how people say this is different. Sounds like any other Deftones album. a bit more mellow, but that's it with the changes. Oh and Cantrell's guitar solo sticks out, of course.
