Lmfaooo I dunno man the drumming on this album is absolutely insane, it’s just more engaging imo

It's my personal favorite of theirs. Really love the meditative approach they took with this one.

Can't agree more--this album has a different feeling than their other stuff, in a good way.

Saturday mornings putting this on while running some CS 1.6 climbing maps is a core memory of mine.

To me this is their 4th best. Still very good and probably I didn't jam it enough times to appreciate all the nuances.

Also fourth best for me.

Kind of loving how stripped back and melodic this is. Makes the harder parts really count too m/

Out of all their albums, this is the one I return to the most.
Not necessarily their best but it is still incredible.

this is my favorite when I am feeling fancy and literary
I have a poster of Don Quichotte (French opera version) in my apartment because I was obsessed with this album when I got my first apartment, and my folks gave it to me as a housewarming gift. so this album flits through my mind basically every time I walk up the stairs now.

Thinking back, I'd say this was the first album that exposed me to post-metal. I think I was listening to this and Blood Mountain around the same time and both albums left a huge impression on me in terms of what "metal music" could sound like.
I mean, they make a bass sound like running water on this thing with the toms setting the rhythm or rush of the stream. Once you start to connect the musicianship with the themes of the album, it's like opening your third eye.
