So far (still diving) second best for me.

"This is like a perfect balance of amazing prog, metal, and pop/alt. rock"
Agreed. I wish it was less compressed though. If Steven remastered IA then he might be doing this as well

the version I have of this sounds amazing, think it was ripped from Blu-Ray or something? the CD sounds chunky for sure
can't believe he left Half-Light off this too, that song is astounding

The compression is more apparent during the heavy parts, with "Start of Somethings" chorus being the worst offender. Surprised Steven okayed it even, but I think this album triggered him to take the loudness war more seriously
The mellow parts still sound pleasant and lush for the most part, but this album deserves even better production imo.

yeah I mean mine sounds great but I'd def buy a remaster of this, especially if it consigned Halo to the cutting room floor and subbed in Half-Light

God is in my fingers God is in my head
God is in the trigger God is in the lead
God is freedom, God is truth
God is power and God is proof
God is fashion, God is fame
God gives meaning, God gives pain
You can be right like me
With God in the hole you're a righteous soul
I got a halo round me, I got a halo round me
I'm not the same as you
Cos I've seen the light and I'm gaining in height now
I got a halo round me, I got a halo round me
I got a halo round my head
God is on the cell phone God is on the net
God is in the warning God is in the threat

Open Car has some sweet catchy riffage going on, even if the chorus is pretty mediocre.

Open Car chorus is the best bit (musically + lyrically)

Just feels a bit flat to me, like the verses build nicely and Wilson's voice just can't quite deliver the 'oomph'.
