funny i was just this morning listening to hetfield on joe rogan's podcast and he was talking about their massive concert in russia in '91 right after the fall



he estimated there was 500,000 people there but i'm reading now it was closer to 1.5 million

he said the police were trying to control the crowd and that but eventually gave up and joined in the moshing and shit, they were literally witnessing the end of the police state

The two versions of the album are not that different after all.



The remaster is slightly faster.

apparently there is a 2014 remaster that isnt sped up but i couldnt find it



i usually prefer the original with metal anyway

The sped up version has its charm as well, the headbanging is more frantic.



The LP version highlights the melodies more, it's as if Coroner's No More Color and Grin are blended together.
