I definitely didn't always see eye to eye with him on all accounts of taste but he was easily one of the funniest users ever and he knew his thrash and prog

His Sugarcubes review is still my personal favorite

"The music is indie rock i guess, easily to listen to but nothing amazing, what makes this album great is Bjork, because she is hot. Truly she has one of the best voices ever, when she hits the high notez it sends shivers down my shaft, its quite the experience indeed. The album is pretty damn consistent, consistently gay that is, but not in a bad way."

Ok, so upon closer inspection, his Agony review might have actually been even better

"ah, the album that changed my life. just before i heard agony i was in a sweet place in my life, i was 15 year old trve metalhead, i was living at home and getting my ass sucked on a daily basis by kara, life was great and nothing could go wrong, until my 16th birthday where my uncle vvornth gave me a tape of apocalyptic dawning, i didnt know what to expect as at the time the only death metal i'd heard was sabaothic cherubim and it kinda put me off the genre. on the first listen i was blown away, not by kara for once but by the music itself. the vocals were fucking retarded, the riffs face ripping, the drumz bell end crushing. but after this fateful day everything started to go crazy, kara dumped my ass for craig hoberman and my parents passed away in a freak windmill accident."

Ill probably be in the 5 category soon for this, which is strange considering I think the previous 2 albums are just 3.5's at best.

Yeah, they really pulled out all the stops for this one. Having Christian Munzner on guitar certainly helps too

Idk dudes I think Noctambulant is like just as good as this and Cabinet is not very much lower than either of them

"Karlsson has the better solos"

Agreed, for the atmosphere of this album. Muenzner never sounds as menacing as Karlsson.

At least we have K on No Light Spared, should have been more but M was a fine spare choice lol
