That was totally worth reading through, guys.

Yeah, I like Beggars better than this by a bit. Beggars is awesome all the way through, and this has Blur.... Man, I do not like that chorus.

Blur ain't that bad...Call it in the Air and Listen Through Me kill it for me
Beggars has a couple of forgettable songs (Doublespeak, At the Last) but the highlights are so gooooood...Anthology and Words in the Water are Thrice at their best though

Call it in the Air is amazing though! That sexy ass bridge. Listen Through Me is also one of my favorites. You people

The religious references are so blatant on this album.

They are pretty blatant from Vheissu onward, but yeah they are especially obvious on Beggars and this

"You people" is right. Beggars is awesome, but no way it tops this. Every song on here is at the very least above average, can't say the same for Beggars

I wouldn't go that far. This and Beggars? Absolutely. The others are still more metaphorical and based in story than their final two.

I agree that their older material is based on stories from the Bible or certain scripture but they are still obviously religious

A Subtle Dagger is anti-evolution.

I don't think it's anti-evolution so much as it's about people denying God and covering their eyes to what he believes is the truth.

It's weird, I had what was pretty much an anti-theist phase as a teenager, and I still didn't care about the Christianity in Thrice's songs. Most of them can be open to interpretation, and even the ones that can't I just don't care because they're mostly good

Correct. Being competent and original musicians can make almost any message relate-able.
