I suppose he's not counting Embryo and Orchid but that still would make up to 6 songs

Yeah I think he means six.

I guess I left out solitude, but still, pretty short for a 5 or best album by best band to ever exist

I agree that it's definitely not their best, although I did used to think it was a contender. My biggest problem with it now is After Forever and I find Solitude somewhat overrated as well.

I dont mind after forever, some people look at it as antireligion, it is the opposite i think, my prob with the album, is there are 4 great songs 2ok and filler, could of been 1-2 more songs

The worst of the original 6 albums is Volume 4, which is still an excellent album. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is the best album by Black Sabbath in all of its incarnations.

SBS > Sabotage > MOR > Black Sabbath > Paranoid > Volume 4

I just made a list of my ranking of Sabbath's albums, but you guys are right, the diversity of the albums can make any of them a certain person's favorite of the lot.

Think I might prefer s/t over Paranoid these days but only by a little bit. Master of Reality still reigns as their best imo. You can't beat Into the Void.

@Bledner Hell yeah for Into The Void! I'm going to 5 their s/t tbh because it's so goddam good.

Yeah s/t destroys. I'd like it better if the songs were all divided into separate tracks instead. Behind the Wall of Sleep. m/ m/ m/

I'd like it better if they were too, but since I listen to the entire album in one setting, it is an easily overlooked "flaw."
