Ok, I've listened to this album a few times over the years and it never really clicked. Just gave it another try and all of a sudden I am starting to "get it" and can see it really growing on me. But, my question is, in what world are the lyrics actually what he's saying? Does anyone follow them at all? Is this only my issue?
Reading the lyrics, I see that they are incredibly emotional. But how am I supposed to feel that emotion if I can't match up 1 single word in the entire album, even as I'm reading them?

yeah a big part of the lyrics is pretty much incomprehensible but if you really listen carefully you can match quite a lot of them to the music, and some are actually very clear

like how brutally emotional are those vocals? even though you couldn't understand what he's screaming about the emotions definitely come across to the listener

can't you feel the emotion from his screaming? why does it matter if he isn't matching the words, they're not the only band who does that (although he is screaming most of the lyrics that are written down, just with multiple repetitions of same lines or in another order or whatever)
