"how would that work exactly?"
literally the same as metacritic (maybe with alternative publication ratings). site admins have a weekly round to update this. final album rating averages the publication aggregate evenly against the entire user aggregate - not difficult to program
" RYM would be substantially better only if all Gen Z kids were banned. That's the only improvement it needs"
this is also accurate but impossible to implement. maybe they should consider an old school runescape-type solution

It's never been about trying to convert others, Butkuiss. Most of the time, I'm just having conversations with myself for myself, and making friends along the way. < 3
SomeCallMeTim I could review MF DOOM but then so many people would hate me for attacking their cult. Also, I have an old Autechre review that is embarrassing, before I start reviewing again I need that shit deleted. Instead of reviewing I prefer to inhabit tolerant threads such as this one. Here everybody seems to know I'm chill and respect me for who I am! < 3

"Pizzabear it looks like you new here but baseline says outrageous things to be quoted and questioned in the manner you did and it’s best to read it be amused and move on"

Serious question: Why does Fear Inoculum sound like something released in 2012?

Album Rating: 2.5
Because the album is so bad the world ended

I think it just goes to show how misguided baseline is

Because tool decided to bring together all of their unused stuff and/or recycled bits to appeal to a fan base that will appreciate anything released by Maynard and the boys with their signature sound and offbeat time signatures

pretending to be dumb enough to like Tool is a top 25 running bit for Baseline

Pretending to be smarter than other people cause of having a certain music taste doesn’t actually make people smarter surprisingly, it just means they have a different turnon, but it’s all music mane. Make love not war

The cocktail of archetypes that Baseline's fan persona satirises is fuckin dumb and yet also very familiar from unironic interactions
Are you happy chaos stodge?

FAN PERSONA? HA! The joke's on you Johnny, I don't use a fan and don't play Persona, I'm more of an AC and Shin Megami Tensei kind of person.

"I feel guilty being alive
When so many beautiful people have died
I never thought that we wouldn't rule the world
I always think we will, I keep my fist clenched still
Oh I'm coming, when you see me you should run and hide
It's important that evil people look good on the outside"
Apt portrait of Tool haters and their sociopathic gaslighting. Quote from one of my favorite songs (Confetti by Cold Cave).

I've noticed that most Tool haters don't have an intuitive sense of spirituality. Johnny is one of the exceptions but then again, he may not be entirely honest in this thread.
