Pepper's tone has always been amazing. on CoC too. think he used 50 cal. mesa boogie amps that are almost impossible to find these days

I've actually got a pretty good les paul sitting in a case. I never play it which is kinda sad. I should really sell it to someone who would use it. but I heard it could go up in value so im keeping it

Gibson is seriously bleeding, I won't be surprised if they call it quits within the next 5 years or so. I think the CFO left recently.
Eh, ESP is aight. I'm not sure if what they offer over LTDs is worth triple the price.

I have a "higher end" ESP worth about $1600 and it is a total beast. compared to my les paul of the same price the fit and finish, playability is faaaaaaaaaaar better
anyway. just watched the Down set on youtube they did at Download a few years back. Phil is on fire. such an intense guy haha

Yeah Gibson quality has really suffered over the last few decades. They are a very overrated brand.
Keep the Gibson you have. If the company does indeed go down, it will be even more of a collector's item than it already is. If there ever comes some kind of liquidation sale, I will def be picking up a Les Paul or Explorer of some sort.
