I have zero beef with Kamala tbh, truly do not care whether or not she uses the Brat branding

I really believe that this will be seen as an era-defining pop album. Not in terms of sales or awards, obviously, but in the sense that it's a cultural snapshot.
Also - I think we're really overstating Fantano's impact. I have genuinely never heard anyone say his name outside a college campus.

I'm not trying to make an argument I'm just stating my opinion. Charli XCX is to electronic dance music what Run the Jewels is to hardcore hip hop.
Clarifications:
1. this is me opining, not issuing an edict
2. i say this as someone who finds RtJ more favorable than not

what is that supposed to mean exactly?

Album Rating: 3.5
I think RTJ have been good and have been bad—I’m not sure their in-theory-consistent relationship to the mainstream vis-a-vis a nominally marginal genre does as much to describe the situation as maybe a description. I think more of the moralism they get in there and its relationship to the genre signals, and things like that. But I’m on the bus also. Bye!

critics want to mention that they miss when pop music was poppin
muthafucka if you did than charli xcx would be platinum

this album is just a really good synthesis of everything charli to me, charli on steroids
it's a bit "appears better than it is" because I think a few songs are a bit lesser melody-wise but the production on most every track is so strong, the aspects of her personality well-organized throughout the record even if you don't find her very interesting. I get not liking it at all if you don't like her at all but I struggle to find an angle on liking her but not this. I'm not amazed by it, but as a moderate fan since True Romance I think it's her strongest album
