Yeah, can't beat S/T. For the time it was so groundbreaking. Even listening to it now, System still managed to create an album that sounds completely unique.

Sometimes it feels wrong to compare the two due to how different they are stylistically

Hypnotize > Toxicity > Mezmerize > Steal This Album > S/t

I just listened to this for the first time (I never listened to these guys when I was younger, with the exception of a few hit singles, and I got the false impression that they were one of the generic nu metal bands of the time), and I can safely say it holds up remarkably well. There's a lot more progressive and experimental stuff than I was expecting, tbh

"Daron is great at writing simple but effective riffs."
Seriously. When my band started covering a couple of SOAD tunes I was amazed at how dumb yet effective his riffs are.
