All Our Gods is up there for most overrated core album for sure

It's because of the context and the lyrics that go along with it and I get it, it brought the whole core scene together, without the context its just LF//LT 2.0/B sides, Holy Hell is more of the same without Tom in the band

All Our Gods has a few slapping songs, but most of it was forgettable and homogenous, Sam Carter not helping that at all

No doubt I get it in the sense of context, I was super bummed about Tom and his situation for sure. It helped me appreciate it more but I still think it pales in comparison to most albums before it

honestly think every album before all our gods is worse than it but i do appreciate that album on like a thematic level for sure

Architects were good, but i don’t know if i think any of their material is really great. It just seems neutered compared to peers, on all fronts in some way or other. Like a chihuahua among Dobermans

Architects started off okay, then got good, then got GREAT with All Our Gods, and now they're okay again.
Srsly if Memento Mori doesn't give you chills....

It’s alright, dawg! It’s one of the things that drew me to metal in the first place, with bands like the The Number Twelve, so when something doesn’t bring it enough for me, it leaves me hella flaccid. It’s why most djent doesn’t do it for me either; there’s just this overwhelming lack of intensity in it for me. Maybe i shouldn’t say the music itself doesn’t have it, but it just doesn’t give me that feeling.
