It also won't happen because Andrew turned down their offer to join the band lol

The phoned in DGD era continues, I wonder if it will stay this way for the rest of their career.

unless another member leaves, that's very very likely.

Yea I get the frustrations with it, I share some of those frustrations about it. I just still love the sound lol, but I hope they change it up soon because this is their worst album and I'd rather they not top it with one that's even worse. They definitely won't change much, but a boy can dream

Now gimme a kiss coldy -3-

Calentamiento Global alone brings this down like 2 points

I have not returned to this album since it dropped really tbh. Prisoner and Strawberry's Wake are good tracks. I found Lyrics Lie, Born to Fail and some other tracks fun initially but the novelty wore off real quick. The whole album just felt pretty thin. Not bad, just needs a bit more flair (NOT Calemento Global flair)

sounds like it was made for the white dudes in San Fran trying to impress the latinx girls visiting the city

Mission District would be very upset about this track.

Sputnik’s requests have been answered… tillian tested positive for covid so now Andrew wells is filling in on tour for their lead vocals. I am seeing them Tuesday and am actually pumped to hear Andrew lead DGD for a full set.

I've seen some clips of Andrew on lead vox and I'm so disappointed that he tries to emulate Tilian's vocal range/pitch. High register isn't his strength, but honestly still better than Tilian live because he is honestly pretty awful.

@vult bummer hearing that, but I am not surprised ... it is not like he had a lot of time to really make the vocals his own and think through the adjustments needed
