My point was that Devin is self-aware that prog is not the most popular genre in the world right now and it doesn't pay as much as other trends like pop, hence, he tends to speak about the movement in a self-depricating way. (Something that we prog fans joke about all the time). About the comment of the girl. She wasn't into the progressive rock thing. She was one of those people who thought that genesis started in the 80's and it was basically a pop band. When I tried to explained her that genesis was WAAAAAAAAAAY more complex in the 70's she got offended. I gave up on the topic.
