@jay

iirc I jammed a handful of tracks from this record when I was REALLY on my ETID grind but it sounded like a lesser version of them and as such was indefinitely shoved into the backburner

Someone mentioned them on my last list and it was a stark reminder that sometimes worship bands are just as good as their predecessors i.e Foreign Hands and PTW (someone's gonna bring out the firing squad for that one lmao)

Jamming this now and digging hard. I first jammed Stereo Grief which I think is a tad overrated but still rules. This is sounding even better to me so far.

Hawks, can't believe you haven't heard this one. It's absolutely fantastic. Not a bad track on here. New album should be out within the next few months too!

Enjoying this so far but is it weird I still don't get the ETID comparisons? I feel like this band plays with melody in a much different way and that works to their benefit

It’s just the southern leanings on this that got them that tag. That and the sick riffs they bring. Theres a lot more differences now especially

It honestly gave me a misconception cuz when I first heard Stereo Grief I expected ETID worship but they are their own beast entirely. I can see this growing to a 4+ on more listens

i don't hear etid on stereo grief either really. that is way more melody and hook driven. i'd say it's a actually a post-hardcore ep.

Right, I'd call it post-hardcore too or the made up genre I told my friend, "alt mathcore" lol (or metalcore)

it's mostly due to vocal inflations and the similar southern vibe I think, riffage too... and add that to people looking for a Low Teens successor when this came out.

regardless these guys def have their own sound and this album is goated for me
