Idk why but I adore q. Blankface >>> h&c > Oxy >>>> his other one
|
| |
I will check, I was more referring to his bars on blank face alone, ive actually heard good things about h&c
but he took what could've been an interesting concept on blank face and said just about nothing

h&c's the best not kdot tdee project
clivia demo comes close but not as consistent
i found blank face was kind of boring q didnt try to be as commercial sounding back then
|
| |
tde is so avg/bad other than kdot. absoul is god awful, his verse on atrocity exhibition makes me die
wish q had capitalized on the evil vibe of blank face more, that record had potential

Jay Rock isn't bad at all easily the most underrated in TDE. 90059 is a super solid record. Schoolboy is solid enough and still has potential if his followup to Blank Face keeps going in the same direction. Ab-Soul is my least favorite forsure but I like what he did with his most recent record enough to jam it occasionally.

Jay Rock is definitely pretty underrated, but inconsistent. He had some of the best verses on Vice City. Q has really unfuckwithable flow, but I feel like his concepts still need work. The strongest tracks on Blank Face, like Groovy Tony and John Muir are something to behold. Ab is smart and a strong lyricist but hasn't realized his full potential, I think. Control System is really good for me, though.
