If this was more in the vein of track 1 and 5, this would be sooo much better.. I sometime really force myself to listen to this, but it’s anything but enjoyable for me.

I think this is the weakest one too, feel like he hit a better balance between the poppy corn and the experimentalism on i,i (probably more leaning toward the former, or at least having better examples of pop songwriting). But my take is unconventional: I think i,i is better than For Emma, too...

i,i has the bones of a good album, but it feels so underdeveloped to me. Not offensively bad, but painfully held back by short tracks that don't do much at all. When that record DOES click, it's great, and it coincidentally tends to come on songs where Justin lets an idea grow and breathe for a bit.
