ive always liked this one best because it feels like the most seamless vision of what they were working towards with the first three albums. obscura was almost like a demo run to see how far they could go into left field and this one took the best parts and smashed it together with some more traditional death metal tendencies. the result being the most balanced and focused record they ever released.

agreed for the most part. this feels more like a cohesive blend rather than "obscura-lite" like i see this criticized for sometimes. helps the production is better here too. love obscura to death but it's a lil overrated imo. been thinkin about bumping it down and bumping erosion up actually
