I agree they can be catchy, but I think Kevin greatly overestimates both how interesting his voice is and how 'spacey' their synths are. I prefer the energy and the lower register singing of "Lucidity" or "Expectation". FWIW I didn't like Lonerism that much either so it isn't just this record.

neither song is good. band has completely lost the thread, was way better as a Revolver fanfiction project than as this sort of sophistipop synth stuff. but good on them for gaining traction and the guy is clearly a major talent. ah well
