I think (hope) WOLF will be a lot better, if Analog 2/Wheels 2 and Sam (is Dead) are any indication.
|

this may be blasphemy but i think he should have like hired a songwriter or something to "clean up" Analog 2
it has a great idea but its sort of muddled. this happens with some odd future stuff but its usually not as apparent a problem as when it is with melodic stuff like on Analog 2
its still pretty awesome though
i hope he really just goes far out on WOLF and makes it really weird but not shitty

I think Analog 2 is really good, it just kind of has to grow on you. Like in the beginning the "rapping/bad singing" little intro Tyler does seems annoying but you get used to it and then the hook part with the "MEET ME BY THE LAKE...AT THE PARK..." seems too packed with all of these noises and voices but after repeated listens you see they kind of fit together perfectly.
and yeah same here.

it's funny because my rankings of this group's albums haven't changed all that dramatically... i still like this better than Bastard, i still think Earl is overrated, and i still think that OF Tape 2 is one of the best things they've done. thing is though, i feel like they're just running in circles at this point, especially if OF Tape 2 is attempting to showcase what's coming next from OF.

Earl is incredible in the moment but wears off really quickly.

Earl is apparently working on his album and probably scrapping the EP he was talking about on MTV, and said something on Twitter a few days ago about finally finding where he wanted to go musically/sonically direction-wise with his album.
and he'll be producing, too. I'm curious as to what kind of beats he makes, I have a feeling they're kinda similar to Flying Lotus or something.

Frank's rapping is pretty cool. He has a nice little verse in Oldie, too.
|

Love Frank's verse because it's so easy to rap along to and is awesome at the same time.

i know that this has probably already been said in this thread, but fuck these guys piss me off in some ways. They have created an entire fan base from their fucking image. The hardcore scene have gotten into this nitwit completely based upon what he wears and how he acts. Tylers a fucking horrible producer with ok lyrics who skates and wears supreme. "WOW hes gotta be good!" high school wannabe hardcore kids say. The only guy in OF worth the hype is hodgy.
