Most bands have a member who is far more talented than the others e.g. Travis Barker in blink-182, Shannon leto in 30STM, the edge in U2, Billie Joe Armstrong in green day, dave grohl in foo fighters, list goes on...

I think you mean Mike Dirnt for Green Day because he's a fucking fantastic bassist

I used to like wretches and Kings more than I do now, still good though and THE best track to listen to what you're angry

The whole band participates completely on that song and it's the most dance-able song on the album too.

The edges guitar sounds are what defined u2! Bono wails like a sick child. Listen to pride (in the name of love) the guitars are exceptional and top bonos vocals

He's the bassist so I would assume so, easily the worst member of LP though.

True dirnt is a rather good bassist, but bj Armstrong's songwriting skills are second to none and his voice has become so iconic and is now the definition of a punk rock voice + his guitar playing is not too shabby either when you look at songs like American idiot

There's one point in the song Runaway where everything drops out except the bass and instead of doing anything he just continues playing the same roots. I can't listen to the song without facepalming at that point because its just so lazy.

Armstrong is much more multi-talented and is the face of green day and punk
