"Didn't know Jetpack Was Yes was an Arrested Development reference. Band just earned a few points"
I didn't either, but reference was yes.
On another note, this album is ok. the production makes it really boring though and it sort of meshes all ideas together into one smudgy mess.

I think they both suck, but I'd take this over that PII garbage. I at least like Light and Ow My
Feelings on this.

the vocal lines are better written but performed worse on this.
fun album, that's about it.

Nah PII vocals destroy this.
Really don't know how you can argue otherwise. Spencer's improved so much.

A solid 4 for this album. I could not agree less with the meshuggah comparison in terms of musicality. Meshuggah's singing is most boring compared to this, only the guitars sound the same but I see much more colour here. The drum work is outstanding for technicality and relevance. Very enjoyable record.

How exactly does one make one's drumming relevant? By having a band around one so that the drumming is part of a song?

what the fuck? how can you not think this sounds similar to meshuggah? it's like meshuggah lite with a backwards visor and a rainbow t-shirt.
