Karl's best was mirrors though, he had so much emotion in his voice on that record. He has a good scream but it doesn't vary enough imo, just one thing for a whole album. The song writing on Controller was top notch and when he did cleans on that album it was cool but his low lows the whole time on that album definitely made it less than it could have been with more variation.

his scream is so good that I don't mind it doesn't vary much throughout an album, I mean just look at Controller, he goes hard as fuck on that

edit: eh I disagree but can see that complaint, his vocals on that album, screams and cleans, are some of my favorite on any metalcore album

I like Karl more than Jesse, but I'm excited to hear Jesse again after such a long time

Karl made this band IMO, so much power in his vocals.

If Jesse returns to the band I'm gonna flip. Not to dismiss Karl, but I like this album more than Controller.

i had no idea, that is going to be sick hopefully. the vocals don't matter much to me bc they're both great and most of this band's appeal to me is the compositions

"Supposedly this year and Jesse is back on vocals"

Whoa for real?

Kinda concerned how good Jesse sounds after all this time.

Absent Light is def their worst. Even though it was all DIY or whatever, I have probably listened to it twice since it was released? Other than the Rust track, which is brilliant of course.

Absent Light rips, but it's definitely missing something. Still can't go wrong with any Misery Signals record

I just started listening to more Misery Signals recently. I always avoided it because I didn't want to taint this album. Controller is legit, though. The singer on that album isn't bad. His lyrics aren't great, though. Then again, there are a couple cringe-worthy moments on this album, too.
