yeah, I'm going to be working through the Motorhead catalogue this year - only really know the 'Overkill' and 'Ace of Spades' albums at all well, some individual songs outside of that

and sure maybe darkthrone technically weren't pioneering black metal or whatever pointless argument was being made before, but you're missing the forest for the trees

"End of 1993/start of 1994 was when I moved to CD's so quite easy to remember the first albums I got on CD."

Prior to that, did you prefer listening to music on tape or records?

"venom releasing albums since 81, bathory since 84, a kid growing up in the uk or sweden during those times would be laughing at you even harder than i am"

You’d also get blank ones you’d record stuff over and over on until it degraded in quality so bad

Yeah everything was recorded.

I think I had about 30 genuine albums across all formats from 93 to about 96. Lots of other stuff copied just in me drawer

This was one of the genuine tapes I had.

How much you wanna bet that if the prime lineup was transported to 2024 that they'd be calling all the new bands soft?

Especially after Anselmo doing the roman salute only for him to claim he was drunk and was just a joking. But hey, we live in the time where Kanye fucks with racist bands so anything goes.

true that lol i could see a transported-to-2003-era version of prime 'Tera that wasn't falling apart calling A7X a bunch of homophobic slurs for wearing eyeliner tho. Just like they called Machine Head "N word music" back in the day.

Yeah, things are so much better nowadays. Everyone is amazing and inoffensive absolutely everyone gets on with one another and there’s no problems whatsoever.

We live in a dreamworld compared to 30yrs ago where people couldn’t walk the streets for fear of being called horrible things.
