Nostalgia Kills is the best Underoath song since Disambiguation
Rest of this is super unique though and stands entirely on its own

lip critic is quickly rising the ranks as my favorite on here. Discovering something new with every listen.

I'm not even going to try to pick a favorite. It's so absurdly consistent from start to finish and every track has at least one moment that gets a "god DAMN" out of me. If anything it's just getting harder to place one track over another on repeat listens. Dull Blade has really moved near the top of the chorus pile though.

I’ve never tried this band. Seems like I should

"Personally don’t like the vocals, the songs aren’t catchy or interesting enough to keep my attention. Some of the melodies are bland"
[2] hard, the vocalist is the weakest part of the band. The choruses are so boring

Olli is the heart and soul of the band actually. Smh.

Adapter is my current favorite. That chorus is HUGE and hits hard when it kicks in.
I particularly love the super catchy melodies and phenomenal choruses on the album.

Yeah I don’t like making fun of people for their tastes, but if you don’t like Olli then I don’t even know how you’re into emo in the first place. With only two records under his belt he’s already solidified himself as one of the genres best vocalists of all time.
And… the choruses aren’t catchy? Did we listen to the same album?

Oh yeah, that chorus hits me right in the soul, Adapter was probably the most immediate highlight of my first listen.

yeah I have the same general complaint about him as I do with Courtney from Spiritbox, which is that he mainly stays at the same register during his choruses instead of just belting it the fuck out during the chorus, which is generally what makes choruses memorable to me
edit: there's a couple of exceptions for both bands tho

Idk bout that one, not yet at least

Adapter is so fucking good. Can't get over that key change. Massive chorus too.
Dude he belts the fuck out all the time. He seamlessly transitions from clean singing to screaming like its nobody's business. Only other vocalists I can think of who pull it off that well are Shane Told and Nate Barcalow.

Spiritbox is the poster child for chasing trends trying to stay relevant. This Olli fella keeps getting brought up like he’s some mainstay power vocalist with only two albums under his belt..
