I love Mike's vocals. His lyrics however are hit or miss.
Bad Moons is absolute poetry tho, second half of that song is a career highlight.

Two listens in, in terms of sound this album reminds me of 2010's era Radiohead if they were less pretentious and more musical, which is a win in my book
The mastering is too loud for my taste, but it seems it is what most call "good production" these days
So all in all, greatest americ soccer… maybe, in terms of personal enjoyment it's close between this and LP1

It's a good album, though really sad, and I used to prosper on sadness and the dark. I still don't like the "patron saint of pales." It just gets really noisy and discordant especially near the end and the guest vocals are nothing but lalalala.
No feeling, no pain. no feeling. There is a really unusual bad xylophone moment in that lol but it kinda adds to the charm of it I guess, and the guest vocalist got a short payday, the turnstile person was barely there. I don't know who turnstile is other than some later stuff in punknews about an ex member.
